sports coverage on board/at sea

We are on the Regatta over the holidays, wondering whether ESPN or equivalent is on the television, weather accomodating, naturally. This is college bowls season, and we'll have several at-sea days which has one of our party concerned about missing The Big One (name your poison on that one...)

We were on the Insignia this year - 1/3 - 1/16/06 on her Valparaiso to Buenos Aires cruise. Alas - no "live" coverage on any of the games, including the USC/Texas BCS national championship.

The daily newletter did contain an insert of the latest sports scores, and our Cruise Director David Shermet seemed to have read all the day's sports news (probably online) before we even did our morning workouts!

We were on the Nautica early November. No live coverage of any sports. You had to wait until the next day to find out any scores. It was tough for my husband who is an avid football fan.

this is a problem. perhaps I'll say nothing till after we are underway and it is a "surprise" :-(

I don't know what ports you'll be visiting, but we've found that very few countries follow or are even interested in American football, so you might be disappointed there as well.

It's the Caribbean. Our first port of call is Virgin Gorda, BVI, on the 24th, then a steady stream of ports through the 30th. The alma matter bowl game is on the 23rd 8:30 ESPN when we will be at sea (sigh)
