I searched, but could not find the answer to this.

 

Friend of mine wants to book and go on the same cruise we're going on. Problem is, he doesn't know which girl he wants to take with him (real delima there lol).

 

If he were to book now with one of their names, what would be Carnivals penalty if he wanted to change the name of the other person in his room.

Would that be after the final payment, or anytime after making the initial deposit.

You can book a cabin without the name of the second person. You will have to pay the deposit to hold the space. You will have to give a name at final payment.

Menika is correct. Both deposits must be made, but no name needed to book the other person in the cabin....not until final payment is due.
