cjdd2006 Posted December 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2006 A lady in Houston has our suitcase. It seems Princess put it in the wrong bin, and the porter that loaded it for her picked it up. Now I have to try to get Princess to ship it to me.

Shoalwater Posted December 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2006 A lady in Houston has our suitcase. It seems Princess put it in the wrong bin, and the porter that loaded it for her picked it up. Now I have to try to get Princess to ship it to me. Picked up an identical bag to mine at disembarkation in LA port, recognized the mistake at LAX. Sought out a Princess receptionist meeting the next cruise, left the wrong bag with her and notified Princess. My bag was shipped by Princess using DHL to my house within the week. Friends had a similar problem, had to leave luggage not yet off-loaded in Southampton to catch the US flight home. Luggage shipped back by Princess within the week. Giorgi-one Posted December 12, 2006 #7 Share Posted December 12, 2006 Not a criticism of anyone here, but exactly how does someone get the wrong bag? I certainly hope that people don't try to claim their luggage without name tags. There must be at least one hundred 20" black suitcases on every plane in the world. Doesn't luggage have a name tag on it? I believe airlines require a name tag and provide paper tags if permanent tag is not attached. Certainly, all bags coming off a ship will have luaggage tags on them.

Porkys2 Posted December 12, 2006 #11 Share Posted December 12, 2006 Great news. I'm surprised that we don't hear about this kind of thing happening more often... everyone always seems to be in such a hurry to get out of the cruse terminal... and so many bags look alike. chasetf Posted December 13, 2006 #12 Share Posted December 13, 2006 Glad to hear his bag made it back. Too bad his faith didn't come back as fast as his bag. :(
