Freedom Casino: Are the slot machines TITO?

As an avid gambler, I had no idea what TITO meant!!

On two recent Explorer cruises I had hit some "jackpots" where they paid in cash. Other "hits" didn't warrant being paid off by an attendant but the thought of waiting for 900 quarters (or so) to come spitting out of the machine, made me keep hitting the button to play more!!

When I did cash out for coin, most of the time the hopper had to be refilled and I had to wait for that. With all the Noro stuff going on...money is DIRTY! and tickets would be much cleaner..

On the good note, I had the pleasure of carrying my buckets to the cashier..but the ticket system would make it SO much easier!! I think it would make it easier for crew as well...and eventually, I think all ships will have TITO.

but what is truly the funniest thing with TITO is the Musak coins falling as it is prining out your ticket to then go stand in line to get your money when you are done.

Can anyone report if the slot machines in the Casino on FOS are TITO or not?

Thanks

Don't forget that wrestler of note TITO Santana!

THe Blackjack tables are $ 5.00 and $ 25.00 did not see any $ 10.00.

Most are six shoe hand shuffled tables.

The 25.00 table if I remember right is a one deck table with no mid-deck entry into the game.

Don't know if it's the same in all the RCI casinos, but last month on Rhapsody the single deck game paid 6 to 5 for blackjack rather than 7.5 to 5, allowed no mid-deck entry, and was shuffled by machine. Since I never get a doggone blackjack anyway :(, the lower payoff didn't seem to make that much of a difference, I guess... still ended up ahead most of the time and had lots and lots of fun!

Depends on the action in the casino. It was frustrating last week, as all of the tables were $5, so you had people popping in and out, not really knowing what to do, and it was hard to get a rhythm going to the tables. Got better towards the end of the week.

FYI, they use an 8-deck shoe, at least on Freedom.

Sounds like you are one of those hard-bitten, tough gambler-types, Tracy. :D

Nope, just like to have fun! (surprise surprise). It's just hard to have as much fun when you are losing, and too easy to find someone to blame when there are drive-by gamblers on the $5 tables! ROFL

Carol, we have GOT to cruise together sometime! Methinks we'd have a blast. The big problem is that you can only cruise at times when I tell myself I'll never cruise (when school is out! LOL)
