GCS-LifeIsGood Posted December 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Hi, I will be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale around noon on 03/12 for a cruise that begins on 03/13. Does anyone know if the Carrie B sightseeing cruise is any good? I am in a power wheelchair. I have corresponded with the Carrie B. company through email. They say that they are wheelchair accessible. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Does anyone have any suggestions of how best I could spend my afternoon in FLL? Rare Lois R Posted December 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Hi,:) I have never heard of the company, sorry. Maybe Bequia will be able to give you some information. She is probably the most helpful and knowledgable person when it comes to Ft. Lauderdale.
signman Posted December 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2006 The Carrie B would be a fine way to spend some time. Going around the Intracoastal is a great way to see some of the beautiful homes and yachts that define Fort Lauderdale as America's Venice. ESMBDS Posted December 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2006 The water taxi is also another way to tour the intracoastal. You can pick it up at various restaurants and hotels on Las Olas I believe. Stacey
signman Posted December 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2006 Doubt that the Water Taxi is wheelchair accessible.
GCS-LifeIsGood Posted December 15, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted December 15, 2006 Thanks for your responses. It is always "uncertain" to say the least when a company says they are wheelchair acessible. Thanks for your thoughts.
