Dolphin Encounter in Roatan?

Has anyone done the Dolphin Encounter in Roatan? How was it? We'll be there in Feb. on the Valor and thinking about this excursion. It's kind of spendy, so we want to be sure it's worth the money. We'll have a 10 year old with us.

Assuming it's the same one that NCL did, we loved it. We went in May, 2005 with our 22 and 19 year-old kids, and they loved it too. Ours was held at Anthony's Key Resort, which is a beautiful setting. I don't know that I'd go again, but we felt it was worth it once.

 

Just make sure you realize it's not a swim. You're in an area with about chest-high water. They divided us up into groups of 8, and you were able to watch the dolphins perform and interact with them. We were able to pet the dolphin and get kisses from the dolphin.

thanks, yup, we realize it's not a swim with the Dolphins but thought it would be fun to be in the water with them.

We really did enjoy it. My DH doesn't swim, so we weren't interested in one of the "swim" with the dolphins, but this was perfect for us. They're beautiful animals and seemed like they were being treated well.
