Lindbergh/Airport Beach

Has anyone been to this beach lately? I'm trying to figure out the best beach for our group of 4 people. Can anyone fill me in on the cost of the cab ride, whether or not there are chair rentals, is there a beach bar??? etc.
I went there about 20 years ago and had a great time as there were few crowds with only local people and cruise ship people .....but a lot can change in 20 years. Thanks!

Hello,

It is still a relatively quiet beach. There are two hotels close by and beach bars are associated with them, as well as a restaurant. There are beach chairs not sure if they charge non-guest?? Its a nice choice. Snorkeling is not good but a nice spot to sit and relax and swim.

No rentals. you're on your own on Linquist. The property was sold and is now sort of not really safe unless you visit on weekends. Definately not at night and definately NOT alone. Would not recommend it as a must see beach.

Geri was asking about Lindbergh Bay and not Linquist Bay.

There are chairs at Lindbergh and its quite safe. Lindbergh is also called Emerald Beach.

Hello Laura,

Yes the airport is just "next door" so you see them flying in and out. Not a real busy airport, but a couple hours on the beach you should see a few planes. The planes don't really fly over you as the run way doesn't lead to the beach but rather is parallel to the beach.
