Vernoncruise Posted December 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2006 We'll be in on the Pearl in March :) We are with a small group, so we'll want to plan ahead for our dining. Are any of the specialty restaurants open for lunch? If so, is it a reduced cost?
Ask4Jay Posted December 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2006 Vernoncruise - In the Freestyle Daily of our transatlantic cruise on the Jewel all 5 Specialty Restaurants are listed as being open from 5:30PM to close. (Not open for lunch or breakfast.) The lunch choices were the Garden Café (buffet) and Tsar's Palace (Main Restaurant).

dolfandude Posted December 25, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2006 We just got off the Jewel today. No reduced cost for speciality restaurants for lunch. I asked the question concerning Teppanyaki. $20 for either lunch or dinner per person. Then when I looked each day none were listed as open for lunch during this cruise (in the Freestyles). Never saw anyone eating when I passed them. NoVaCruiser60 Posted December 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 25, 2006 I am not sure this is universal, but on the Jewell, the Sushi bar was open for lunch, only on "at sea" days. It was open a limited time, like 1200-1330. The sushi was great, and the servings were huge. I don't think there was a discount, but they only charged us $12.50 for two all-you-can-eat, while the dinner price is normally $12.50 each. That was the only specialty restaurant I ever saw open for lunch.
