Doin' the Mediterranean with our son

We are doing some very long-range planning, and we'd like to know if anyone has experience sailing the Med with kids. We'd love to take our son who will be 10 years old at the time.

We'd love to take a luxury line on this once-in-a-lifetime trip, but we're not sure if they are necessarily 'kid-friendly'. Can anyone speak to this? We are vets of RCCL and Carnival, but we'd love to try the smaller, luxury lines like Seabourn or Radisson.

Any feedback?

Thanks!

I've been on the luxury lines and they are most definitely not child friendly. Especially on Seabourn, Regent (no longer called Radisson) and Silversea, there are no facilities for children of any age. The kinds of activities that kids like, such as video arcades and such don't exist. The pool on Seabourn ships are tiny and not much fun for kids. If you want something a little more upscale, give Celebrity a try. They have a kids club and there will be other kids on board for him to hang around with.
