rockwoodmama Posted December 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2006 I am taking my first cruise on the Splendour in a week. I thought I read somewhere that they show movies in the theater but I can't find any info - is this correct? Are they first run movies or old ones? Thanks so much! :)
WMeda Posted December 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2006 Don't know about Splendour but on Freedom last week they were showing movies approxiamtely 2x per day and while I don't remember all the titles, i can confirm that they did show "The Devil Wears Prada" on at least 2 days. FoodieGirl_VeganBoy Posted December 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2006 I was on Grandeur, which had no movies being shown in a theater, but every day there was a new movie playing on the TV. I actually sort of preferred lying in bed watching movies :) They had an "oldies" channel which played older classics, but I was never into those so I stuck with the newer movies (they played them several times a day at set times) which included You Me and Dupree, Click, Mission Impossible 3, Da Vinci Code, Superman Returns, Invincible, Pirates of the Caribbean 2. So I would expect movies that came out on DVD very recently.
cb at sea Posted December 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2006 On the ships with theaters, the movies are not "first run", but not oldies, either. I'd rather spend my time at the pool, sunning, than sitting in a theater, but then, I don't do movies at home, so.....
