Sandi149 Posted January 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2007 Hi folks, My husband and I definitely want to go to Nick and Nora's on our upcoming Miracle cruise in June. I know that you can view the menus on the tv in the cabin but can you only view for that day or for the whole cruise? We want to read over the menus and see which day we should go to N&N. If I go to N&N on the first day, would they be able to show me the dining room menus so I can decide what day to eat in the supper club? Thanks. :)

Sandi149 Posted January 4, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted January 4, 2007 Thanks Derf....I have the menu for Nick and Nora's. My question is: One the first day of the cruise if I go up to N&N will they show me the menus from the regular dining room so I can decide which night I want to eat in the supper club? Thanks. oscar's mom Posted January 5, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2007 We ate at Nick and Nora's on the third night. I had read somewhere that this was the best night and as I recall the dining room menu was not that spectacular that night. I also believe that was the night after the first formal night. Hope this helps.
kutty77 Posted January 5, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Thank You for the info not only does it look like we are going on the same cruise but maybe the same night for N&N. LOL Well my parents anyhowThanks Again
MrPete Posted January 5, 2007 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2007 We tried to do that, marry up the menu to our "dislike", and go to the SC that night. I screwed up, and was "off" one night. But we enjoyed it anyway. And yes, the menus are only on the TV on that day. Very convenient for deciding where to go for lunch! serene56 Posted January 5, 2007 #12 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Lobster will be served the first formal night--which is usually the second day of the cruise. If you go directly to the Supper CLub the Hostess will have menus for the week that you can see. If you go early enough you can pick out your table too. (stay away from the windows---lol its located on the jogging track or something and people can look in on you.

I don't want to be by the windows and have people looking and hubby and I when we eat. Do you think we should go right after we board? FastFreddie Posted January 5, 2007 #14 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Sandi, IF you make a mistake and choose a night they are serving lobster in the dining room then just have the lobster @ N&N's! As far as people looking in on you eating ... This isn't 42nd Street outside ya know ... how many people will be jogging around the track @ 8pm? :) :D FF

Any other night would be fine. Then definitely don't go to N&N's BEFORE formal night, or you will be spoiled and won't want the tiny little lobster in the dining room! LOL! I don't care for the dining room lobster (no comparison, plus I'm a self admitted lobster snob :p LOL), so I would eat at the supper club any night of the week... The food is SO good... the lobster bisque ROCKS and rivals some of the best I've had around the country...

Definitely not nearly as good as Maine lobster but I did enjoy it. Maine lobsters are my favorite and the best IMO. Nothing can top that. I heard very good things about that Lobster Bisque. I love that soup. Although there are so many good looking appetizers on that menu that I would have a hard time picking which one I want. Do they let you have an appetizer and the soup, or is it one or the other?

Then again, I'm picky about lobster...it's a quirk :p The bisque is fabulous!! The crab cakes are great too! No, the bisque IS an appetizer... if you sweet talk them, you might be able to get two (although plan on being ROLLED out) but typically, you are allowed one of each course... Warning... if you haven't already figured it out, the lobster bisque in the dining room is NOTHING like real bisque... blech! Give me the pumpkin, mushroom, or asparagus soup ANY DAY over that stuff :D
