mktopks Posted January 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2007 We are visiting Grenada in March with the Crown Princess. They offer an excursion hike to Seven Sisters Waterfalls we are thinking of taking. Our time in port is short so we think it would be best to book a princess excursion. Has anyone done this before? Any advice/reviews/ideas would be appreciated.
GloriaF Posted January 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2007 We were in Grenada the first of December, also on a Princess ship, and we were tempted by the 7 Sisters waterfall ~ but we decided we wanted to see more of the island than just one spot, so we booked a private tour with Mandoo. It was a wonderful, all-inclusive tour of the island in an a/c bus with about 12 people and included the spice farm, the rain forest, stop at a waterfall, the monkeys, tasting a Grenada banana which Mandoo purchased, etc. The tour was $45pp and entrance fees were included. We really enjoyed this tour! Private tours are about half the cost of the ship's excursions. You can check to see how many ships are in port the day you will be there by going to http://www.cruisecal.com, then you will know how crowded it will be. When we were there, we were the only ship in port except for a small luxury line. Being the only ship in port, everyone on our tour was from our ship and we all had the same time frame, so it was easy to go on a private tour and be sure we would be back in time. I would love to give you contact info, but it is not allowed unless you ask for it.

A & E Tours offers that tour for $16, here's the link: http://www.grenadaguide.com/aetours/hiking.htm and Caribbean Horizons offers it for $45, from 8:30am-1:30pm: http://www.caribbeanhorizons.com/tours.php?tourid=16 Are you not in port the whole day? -Bob
