WE ARE BOOKED TO GO ON A TRIP TO CHACCHOBBEN(spelling) ON OUR 1/27/07 CRUISE ON THE LEGEND OF THE SEAS...IN OUR DOCS WE JUST RECEIVED THERE WAS A PARAGRAPH THAT THE MEXICAN GOV'T CHARGES $10 FOR PHOTOGRAHING THE RUINS DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCES WITH THAT AND, IF SO, IS IT PER PERSON OR PER CAMERA....THANKS REFEREE

The fee is for persons with VIDEO cameras......digital/point-n-shoot cameras do not pay the fee.... mostly just those with serious recording capability....

 

I was told the fee is bascially a license fee to record and do "whatever" you want with it...i.e.... make a commercial, put it in print, advertise.....

madhouse24 so you think at if i brought my mini panasonic cam corder i could get away with paying the fee? not that $10 would break me, but if i don't have too you know what i mean...thanks for your reply....referee

to be honest, we didn't see many trying to get out of the fee.....and also, I don't "remember" the fee being $10, IIRC I think it was more like $5

Don't forget to have some yummy icecream from the cart vendor there!

 

My wife and I were so surprised to find out that the ice cream was made from corn! It was kind of weird eating ice cream with a few small hunks of corn in it, but it was great.
