I was told the fee is bascially a license fee to record and do "whatever" you want with it...i.e.... make a commercial, put it in print, advertise..... referee Posted January 11, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2007 madhouse24 so you think at if i brought my mini panasonic cam corder i could get away with paying the fee? not that $10 would break me, but if i don't have too you know what i mean...thanks for your reply....referee
Aquahound Posted January 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2007 When I did the Kohunlich and Dzibanche ruins, they were pretty strict on the policy. It is their land, so their rules need to be respected. You're better off just paying the $10.00 to avoid any problems.

JoeTx Posted January 11, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2007 Dec. 2006, the fee was $3 at Chaccobean. I had a Hitachi Digital Camcorder. Its going to a good cause and didn't mind paying the fee... Don't forget to have some yummy icecream from the cart vendor there!

Aquahound Posted January 12, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2007 It was a $10.00 charge when I was there in Oct 2005 (Dzibanche and Kohunlich). But, that one charge covered two locations on one tour.
rwillis9 Posted February 23, 2007 #9 Share Posted February 23, 2007 Don't forget to have some yummy icecream from the cart vendor there! My wife and I were so surprised to find out that the ice cream was made from corn! It was kind of weird eating ice cream with a few small hunks of corn in it, but it was great.
