Thank you cruise critics!

I want to thank everyone on this board for all of your great advice. I've taken several cruises in the past and once I booked my trip, I seldom heard from my travel agent again.

 

From reading cruise critic, I felt confident enough to book a group cruise directly through Carnival. Also with information gained from here about where to book (group side, not individual), I not only received $100 shipboard credit, champagne and chocolates and a 1 hour cocktail party for my group, I was also able to get a photo coupon for each cabin we booked.

 

Then, I read on here to contact the casino boss before boarding. I did, and just received credit in the casino for several of our group members who had played in the casinos on Carnival ships in the past.

 

Last but not least, I knew from the threads here to keep checking the prices and today when prices went down, each of our group members received a credit back on their credit card!

 

So once again, thank you to everyone for all of the great information!
