RCCL's ARUBA BAR & PUB STROLL???

Has anyone been on RCCL's Aruba Bar & Pub Stroll excursion? It's aboard a Kukoo Kunuku Bus / Paranda Bus......wondering why there's a weight limit of 300 pounds and a max age of 90. Also stated in the description of the excursion: It is the guest's own responsibility to return to their ship....what's that all about??? Is this a real drunken bus ride?? And they're afraid a 300+ person will fall ontop of others??? Has anyone lost their way back to their ship?? Is it worth the $52pp and what do you get for that??

We're thinking about doing this fun sounding excursion and would like to know thoughts of others who have been there done that!

I did this excursion last year. It was GREAT!!! Absolutely worth every penny! You are met at the pier by the loud, colorful, Kukoo Kunuku. As you board the open air bus you are handed maracas and you sing your way between the bars. At each bar you are given a drink ticket for one drink at that bar. You can buy more at each bar if you want to. They also offered the option to buy a larger souvenir mug with a top on it. If you bought that, then you had to pay $2 extra at each stop for the drink (but it held at least 3 times as much as the cups they gave you). They take you to various bars, including a karaoke bar, a place where dancing on the bar is encouraged, ending the excursion at Carlos and Charlies. You are responsible for making your way back to the ship from C&C's but it is in sight of and within walking distance of the ship. That way you can decide to stay as long as you want at C&C.

The weight limit is probably due to size issue. Tthe seats on the bus are small - really just narrow benches, and the doors are tiny, plus you have to climb up to get into the bus.

Totally agree with WRP96 comments about this excursion. We did it back in August 2006 and had the best time. It's a "not to be missed" excursion. Worth every penny. They have two buses that run. Make sure you're on the bus with tour guide who calls herself "Mama". She make the trip fun. She's a small petite islander woman who runs the tours.

Buses are tight, which is why a larger size person would not be able to enjoy themselvs. The crampness of the bus makes the ride that much more enjoyable. Have fun.
