my wife and i will be on the island princess in oct we have a balcony on the aloha deck which side of the ship is best.:)

You didn't mention where you were cruising. Both sides are same, both beautiful. There is only a differance when there is something of interest on your cruise that is on one side or the other. For example; we are sailing on the Island Princess Hawaii. Our Itinerary takes us around the Big Island, Hilo to Kona. Starboard side will have views of the Lava flow at night as we pass.

Both sides are beautiful. Any cruise is a good cruise.

Does not matter as when the ship turns around in Gatun Lake you get the best of both worlds as you had back through the locks. :)

There's no way to know until just before the locks whether you will be on the side with other ships going up and down or not. I'd really like an aft for that cruise. Nancy
