LILynn Posted January 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2007 Hi all We are taking a cruise leaving out of Amsterdam this coming September. As much as I would like to be able to spend more time here, work will not permit me anymore time off, so we are forced to fly in the same day as the cruise. The good news is that we get in a 7AM so we will have a couple of hours to see a little of Amsterdam. Because time is so precious and we will have all of our lugguage, we thought the best thing to do is to hire a driver that could show us some of the highlights of the city and then take us to the ship. Does anyone have any recommendations???? Thanks in advance Lynn
Arubalisa Posted January 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I would also be interested in the same information for my grandmother. She is elderly and a walking tour is just not an option.
Ine Posted January 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I would also be interested in the same information for my grandmother. She is elderly and a walking tour is just not an option. Although I live near the city of Amsterdam, I cannot help you with this. There are some businesses that will transfer you with a private car, but mostly point to point. Amsterdam is a "walkable" city and not very car friendly... Try to contact one of these businesses, maybe they can help you. But be aware prices will be rather high.. http://www.affiliate.viator.com/brochure/product_show.jsp?CODE=2550AMSAPTHTL&ID=1010&PRODUCTID=1016&AUID=4577 http://amsterdam.shuttle-airport.com/ http://www.taxino1.com/ Various tours are offered for those that are staying in town: http://www.keytours.nl/ Maybe this helps.
