Never seen this asked before

I've seen a lot of questions asked and answered here, but I don't think I've ever seen this one, so I'll ask it. Let's say you book a cruise, pay it off, see the price went down, get on-board-credit. Now, I know the trick is to keep watching, and if it goes down more, and you get the right person, you may get more on-board-credit. Now my question is, once you have received on-board-credit, gotten your docs in, (and they even show you have an on-board-credit), and the price of your cruise goes up...more than you paid for to begin with, can they/do they take the on-board-credit away? Anyone ever had that done? No that hasn't happened to me, but just curious if it's happened to anyone else.

They have never done it UNLESS you go in and try to change the booking. Then prevailing fares would kick in. With that said, I have gotten them to leave the fares alone and do the change and other times I had to pay the difference.

My cruise in Nov has gone up $1700 over what I paid for it and that is in the lowest category balcony cabin.

I called carnival to get an idea of how much our next cruise is gonna cost us, and asked him this question after I got done getting that information. He said once they have given the credit, it's mine to keep, no matter how much the price goes up after I received the credit.:D More casino money!:p
