Stansted to Harwich

Recommended Posts

I think that there are basically two ways of doing it. You will either need to book a car transfer, or get the train via London Liverpool Street.

Contrary to what you've been told on another thread, the train from Stansted to London actually goes to Liverpool Street station - see the Stansted Express website for timetables and other information. This makes your connection very easy. From Liverpool Street station, there are special direct trains on cruise ship days - you'll find further information on the One Great Eastern website. It looks like the special train departs from Liverpool Street at 1225 on 1 September.

If you don't make the special train, there are regular services to Harwich International all day - look at the One Great Eastern website for timetables. Many of the services require a change at Manningtree station, but this will be clear from the timetables.

One tip: Don't call it "Liverpool station" as many Americans are wont to do. Liverpool is several hundred miles away.

Enjoy the Jewel - she's a beautiful ship.
