phabric Posted July 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Has anybody been to Coral World? What is there to do? Thinking on doing the Helmet Dive has anybody done that. Is there snorkelling close by? Did you do on your own or with cruise tour?
The Islander Posted August 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2004 Hello, I have been to Coral World numerous times. What is there to do: walk around and enjoy the environment, visit the small touch pond and examine star fish, sea cucumbers ect, watch and pet a baby or nurse shark, visit the fish exhibits, helmet dive, grab a bite to eat or a drink, shop for souvenirs in the store. Yes there is snorkeling very close by at Coki Beach; very easy, close to shore, very good snorkeling. The helmet dive is quite interesting... if you are a seasoned diver it will not seem very impressive, if you are a novice at snorkeling ect. then it will seem quite exciting... you will be guided and the guide will show you interesting things to look at and sometimes hold. Have fun. --Islander VInow.com
Candleonwater Posted August 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2004 We did Coral World, and were bored (as was my 5 year old). However, next trip, I want to try the snorkeling at Coki Beach, I've heard it's wonderful! And easy to find a cab back to the ship.
getaway101 Posted August 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2004 We did Coral World and I was very disappointed.:( Although I will say the gardens were beautiful, the underwater observatory, the windows were so dirty you couldn't see anything. prbabe Posted August 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2004 I did the Coral World tour in Jan through Carnival it was about $35.00 each per person and the tour lasted 3 hrs. I enjoyed myself, but I wouldn't return because it was not very impresive. If you have been to other aquarium parks, maybe Coral World will seem less impresive. On the good side the exhibits were interesting, but I just wished there was more to see. Have Fun!
