abolanowski Posted January 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2007 We took ours last year on Carnival at 17mos. We are going again in a week - she'll be 28mos. We had a great time last year and I think this year on FOS will be even better. My best advice is to travel with family. Last year we took my dad, this year my mom and stepdad. It's always nice to have extra hands, although you can always use the in-cabin babysitter. We plan on doing that so we can all 4 go to a specialty restaurant. constantcruiser Posted January 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2007 A couple of years ago DH & I took our 2 daughters, their husbands and our 4 grandsons (5, 4 and 7-month-old twins) on a 7-night cruise leaving from San Diego. We all had a great time...and really the only challenge was the return flight which was delayed several hours. By then everyone was tired and just wanted to get home. Be sure to visit the "family cruising" board -- lots of good ideas & supportive parents there.

There's a whole section of the boards for questions about travelling with babies: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
