Jewel Casino

Hi everyone!

My mother and I are sailing on the Jewel in April. We would both love to hit the casino (call us the Slot Queens!). Can anyone tell me how big the casino is? What types of slots are offered (Wheel of Fortune etc.). Did anyone win "big"? I also heard you can sign up for a players card? Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The players card is definitely worth it, it's free to sign up.:)

The Jewel has 193 slot machines from 1 penny to $100 in denomination. They do have the Wheel of Fortune, and many others to choose from. They have video poker and video reel as well. There are slot tournaments, black jack tournaments and texas holdem tournaments.

I loved the Jewel Casino also and am a big slots player as well. I prefer the video slots and there were many to choose from. I basically broke even for the cruise which is better than losing it all!

Definitely get the players club card -- at the end of the cruise you will get the amount of points you've accumulated translated into dollars off your bill. I am going on the Dawn in April and look forward to seeing if it has the same or different slots.

Have fun and good luck!

Returned from the Jewel 3 weeks ago. The nickle slots are a blast- some can even be converted to pennies!

Won almost 700 dollars in one half-hour sitting on the nickles. Broke even ondollars.

Black Jack good to DH but no low-minimum tables- $10.oo at least. Casino could be bigger, but never felt crowded.

Good Luck!!

Of all the ship casinos I have donated my money, the Jewel was the best, the most fun and the friendliest staff. We were on a 10 day, Nortrhern Atlantic crossing with some pretty rough weather: I had nothing else to do, but talk to my favorite slots. They had lots of penny and nickel ones. The tables were as good. Someone said $10 min, DH did find the crap table $5 but no one was playing and he wasn't crazy over the dealers. Being smarter than me in some ways (not many you understand) he choose to do lots of readling: such a dull person.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol all in all it is a good casino, no I didn't win big, but played lots, met some nice people and had a blast. Sorry to say that all the table games had a $10 or more minimum. I usually like to play Blackjack or 3 card poker but for $5. They did have a fair number of 1c and 5c slots.

Have to take exception ;) Other then the one day cruises most tables are $5 minimum.

Just got off the Jewel and had a blast in the casino - slots paid off really well the first night but after that seemed to slow down.

I played 5$ black jack and let it ride (two full houses and two flushes!) Also registered for the slot tournament - very fun - placed within the top six and won first place (500$) in the last round!!

Have a blast on your cruise - it was fantastic!!

I think they only have the $1. Wheel of Fortune. I was looking for the quarter one and never found one. I had pretty good luck on the cherry machine, give it a try. Hubby won about $1000. last night of cruise on black jack table. Thats a nice time to win...

Have fun and good luck....Better off spending your money in casino instead of bingo. I can't believe what they charge for that!!!!!!!
