Ali70 Posted January 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2007 I'm going on an Alaskan cruise in August on the Zaandam. I'm not really into long formal dinners so I will probably use the Lido restaurant most of the time. Does anyone know what are the opening hours for the Lido restaurant? Also what attire is acceptable for dinner in the Lido?
Fblack Posted January 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Holland America closes a section of the Lido and adds table cloths, etc. to make it look more like a restaurant than a buffet. They post a menu each day so you can see what is offered. I believe it opens at 5:30 or 6PM. HAL has changed their dress code a bit. On non formal nights, it's resort casual. So you can wear just about anything but shorts, jeans an T-shirts to the main dining room. So just go to to your regular table those days and enjoy the expanded menu and service. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2007 As a rule, HAL ships in Alaska start their dinner times early. The Lido will open at 5:30 -- at least it has on all our previous sailings in Alaska. People wear casual clothes when dining in the Lido in the evening. roberts2005 Posted January 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2007 On our most recent cruise the Lido dining stopped exactly at 7:30 PM
