You can find your posts easily by clicking on your name- it gives you options- find all posts is one of those. Hi Serene, thanks again for all your knowledge.... It looks like it is near the lifts does that mean it may be noisey, we are sailing on the diamond princess in january can't wait.
Firefly012 Posted November 24, 2007 #229 Share Posted November 24, 2007 Any input on interior cabin M298 on Carnival Sensation (or any other of the Fantasy ships). It is port side, closer to aft, and it stands alone. Anyone know why it stand alone? It is close to elevators, do I have to worry? Thanks in advance for any input. Firefly012 Posted November 25, 2007 #231 Share Posted November 25, 2007 Thank you so much for the FYI- it's crazy that the carnival rep on the phone didn't tell me that. I will have to call them back tomorrow and see what else they have. Did you know that room had bunk beds? Well thanks again!

I will have to call them back tomorrow and see what else they have. Did you know that room had bunk beds? Well thanks again! Thanks for looking into finding another cabin. There are very few wheelchair accessible cabins on the ships so if an abled bodied person takes one, they could be preventing a disabled person from cruising. Some people will say that you will be moved if a disabled person needs the cabin. This may be the case in some instances, but I know from personal experience that this is not always true. My husband (who uses a wheelchair) and myself had M298 on the Paradise a few years ago. It has the two twin beds that convert to a king just like all of the other rooms, but it does have at least one if not two pulldown beds. (I can't quite remember as we did not use them) Again, thanks for looking into finding another cabin.

Being close to the elvator is a good thing. We had a cabin outside the elvator and never heard anything. Now if you have rowdy passengers that might make it different. Parents had M187- the white area behind them was a crew stair which crew members used to get from one deck to the other and stay away from passenger decks. I didnt know that at all. I have a list of HC rooms and that is not on the list for a fantasy class ship...is this a recent change?
NCTribeFan Posted November 25, 2007 #235 Share Posted November 25, 2007 Our Carnival PVP booked both our cabins last cruise on Elation into HC cabins. We neither requested them nor needed them and didn't know they were HC until we boarded. We gladly would've given them up had someone needed them, but many of the cruiselines websites do not even indicate which cabins are HC, so any person booking online wouldn't know. If the cruiselines themselves put passengers into these cabins, then how is anyone who doesn't frequent this site going to know? Perhaps people should complain to the cruiselines and the various websites and request that they PLAINLY indicate which cabins are handicap, and that they inform their agents to NOT put people in those cabins if they don't need them. I have a list of HC rooms and that is not on the list for a fantasy class ship...is this a recent change? We were on the Paradise in 2005 and it was wheelchair accessible then. It is also listed on Carnival's website as accessible. Go to carnival.com Click on FAQ on the bottom of the page Click on on "Guests with Special Requirements"...."Is there access onboard..." Then click "Click Here" Then Click on the ship that you want to look at. All of the rooms in blue are wheelchair accessible.

I agree that these rooms should not be given out to random passengers until the last minute and should be saved for hc persons who might want to cruise. Many people do know abou tthem and book because the cabin is bigger for the same price.

TOgal65 Posted December 4, 2007 #242 Share Posted December 4, 2007 Don't book 6456 or 6458 Carnival Conquest, right above the lounge, very loud, and for some reason people above you like to throw food and drinks down on your deck... Stayed in 6458 on the Carnival Valor - assuming its the same layout. The noise was only a problem until the ear plugs fully expanded in my ears. Then I slept like a baby. We did find drink umbrellas and gum on our balcony - there's always a trade off. We loved our aft balcony.
DisneyChick7 Posted December 4, 2007 #243 Share Posted December 4, 2007 I love this board..........anyone been on Royal Carribbean Adventure of the Seas....we are 99% sure we are going on here for our honeymoon in a JS room. Any good cabin numbers. I know people before have complained about flying to San Juan, PR (bc of the flight schedules) but we love this ship the most out of the ones that left the week after our wedding. soderbee Posted December 4, 2007 #244 Share Posted December 4, 2007 Trying to get an opinion on this room please! We leave in 2 weeks. It is an AFT-Port side Category C given to us when we booked the guar room. Also, is it possible to upgrade when you get to the port? Do they charge a lot? I have googled the room and nothing, so hoping for the best! Thanks! :)

I have googled the room and nothing, so hoping for the best! Thanks! :) I have not stayed in that cabin so its just my opinion from looking at the the ship layout. It looks like you have shops underneath and staterooms above you, so from a noise stand point it looks to me like you wouldnt have any problems at all. Another good point is that you would have easy access to all the pubs, shops and restaurants etc on deck 7. Have Fun :)
