I have just been assigned R735 on Riviera on Crown Princess. I have read about being under the Lido deck can be noisy. Has anyone stayed in this room? Any opinion?

Thanks.

G.

you are under the cafe caribe lido area- the area is carpeted.

I am in this room in November, good or bad?

you are right above the CLub 2o you might hear music. If not early to bed type of people you might be good.

there is also a band that sets up across from the casino bar. They dont start playing until 9pm.

Thank you for your reply, for some reason, I knew you would be the one to help me. I looked and I get you about the end of the hallway and the elevator corridor. And yes we have 4 people with my wife and 2 kids, so I hope our room is safe. One more question if you feel like answering, is the extended balcony, or this room a good room, should we be satisfied?

I dont know what you mean the cabin is safe. But this is one of the three most sought after balcony.. and the BEST on the ship that holds 4 people.

the kids will be sleeping on a sofa that is a convertible bed--meaning the back comes off and there is the bed= an upper bed which is over the sofa is the other bed- (it does have a bed rail on it.)

Does anyone know anything about this cabin? Ever stayed in it? I have heard that it can be noisy because it is under the pool area, passengers have heard chairs being moved around in late evening. Also what about the over hang from the balacony, still a nice view, size?

Thanks for any information. Leaving on the Nov 16th cruise

Oh, I didn't mean safe as in dangerous or anything, you mentioned in a previous post that if we didn't have 4 persons the ship personnel might ask us to relocate. So I was just saying that I am cruising with 4 persons that my room would be safe from being asked to relocate. By the way, thank you for the pictures, and I wouldn't give up this room for nothing, my wife and children and I made these reservations last x-mas, so we've been waiting for a while. Well, thanks for all your help, appreciate it SERENA.:)

Has anyone used this cabin ? We are told it is one of the 'sweet sixteen' cabins which have larger balconies but when we research it here it looks as though the first three balconies each side of these are quite enclosed!

Hope someone can explain Thx

How about a thread telling cruisers where not to stay. I was just on the Carnival Triumph, room 8410, below the back of the lido - pool deck. I didn't think it would be too bad, as usually the rear pool bar closes early at night. My room was near the 24 hour pizzeria. DON'T STAY IN THIS AREA. Due to the wooden deck, you will hear chairs and tables being moved between 11 pm and 5 am while you are attempting to sleep. It's constant. It seemed at 4:45 AM the staff was cleaning this area. One night they had a private party at the rear pool area, a dj started at 11 pm and it went until 3 am. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM you get the picture. On the other hand, being just one deck below the pools and buffet was nice. Just take a sleeping pill like I did every night.

Where are other places to avoid?

Anyone stay in 6431 on Conquest? Anything we should know?

I posted this in another thread, but realized it would be more appropriate here! Sorry for the double post.

Hi everyone, first time poster but long time cruiser. :) I've searched and searched the forums for related information to my question, but I figured it'll probably be more helpful to me to just ask outright! I've also spoken to people at reservations AND guest relations at Royal Caribbean to try and find out the truth, but something tells me they're not being very honest.

I booked a Junior Suite (cabin 1594) on Deck Ten of Freedom of the Seas, sailing July 11, 2010. Has anyone stayed in or near this one? How is the noise from the pool deck above? Everyone I've spoken to, including my travel agent, claims that they don't get noise complaints about Deck 11. I figured the Cruise Critic cruisers could probably be straight with me!

:p

Hi all

This is our first cruise ever and when I booked this my TA put us in room 6204. I realized this room had an adjoining door, so she moved me to room 6198. I noticed that this is very near the elevators and just outside the atrium. We are light sleepers, will I get any sleep at all in this room?

Does anyone know anything about the promanade rooms? are they quiet? We have booked one, but our other friends are afraid they will be noisy !! Just wondering???

Promanade rooms ARE quiet. The glass is very thick. You might get noise at the parades but you will be at the parade anyways. Other then that--- they are quiet.

Becareful not to get the cabins on the other side of the bridges-- your view will be obtstructed.

when your door is closed you wont hear anything. The elevators-- you even have to be listening when you are standing there waiting for them.

there is a wall outside your cabin door- there will be small glass inserts to look out. The entrance is a few doors away from you. where it says atrium==those are the glass elevators.
