djcabor Posted March 13, 2011 #2051 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Thanks..... haven't cruised a Radiance class ship before, but I'm looking foward to it. First time out of Tampa, too. Always out of Canaveral, Ft. Lauderdale or Miami before. I'll be waiting to hear your impressions. Pat Hi patperry, Just came back from 5 night western carribean cruise with Radiance. Your room will be just beside ours, very forward. Like the other reviewer said, it is very long walk to the pool, windjammer, colony bar and schooner bar. The room was perfect for us. We really like the cleanliness and our stateroom attendant clean it twice a day. The only thing that I didn't like was the noisy people at the hall during midnight. Mostly are teen agers and it would wake you up once you hear them, but other than that, I have no complain.
EBONI325 Posted March 14, 2011 #2052 Share Posted March 14, 2011 Hi fellow cruisers, anyone ever stayed in 8052 on the ncl gem? How is the cabin, and is it completely obstructed? Also i've been told cabins near the front were a bit rough is cabin close enough to the front for me to worry? I'll be leaving from nyc going to bermuda, how's the atlantic in the beginning of may. My dd had a bad case of seasickness on our last ctn in october 2010. Hoping it was just because we had a noreaster that weekend. Anyone with any insight into these area's please advise..thanks a bunch...... Ps. Dd is an adult:d

Nevaehsma8403 Posted March 20, 2011 #2054 Share Posted March 20, 2011 CARNIVAL PRIDE- My family leaves next sunday on the carnival pride:D. We have 2 rooms. They are 1115 & 1117, both ocean view rooms. Does anyone know if these rooms are any good? I was on the pride back in june and had room 4129 interior with obstructed view. That room was good so I was hoping that the ocean view rooms wouls be good also. Any input would be great. Thanks
rene194215 Posted March 21, 2011 #2055 Share Posted March 21, 2011 Hello! I have a question for a friend who will be on the Carnival Miracle in room 7106. I know it is an interior and to me looks like it is in the front of the ship but she says it was supposed to be in the back. Anyone been in this room or near? Pros-cons? It is her first cruise! I myself am looking to book the Carnival Paradise with a porthole room on the Main or Riviera deck. Had one on the Sensation last year and was great! Yeah you hear the waves a bit more so then midship but was great! It was like S20 I believe. Great room!

I prefer my cabins to be more towards the back as that is where we spend most of our time. The deck is a good choice-- can she call and ask to move more towards the back/midship Did your friend book guarantee or was she able to pick the cabin Edited March 21, 2011 by serene56

THere is a band that sets up across from the casino bar and they do not start playing until 9pm at night. if you are over the coffee area see if you can move towards the back just a little more further-- but not over the piano bar I used to love the aft balconies but since the classify them into a higher category they are out of my price range. I now book 8B 7415 on the splendor. (this is the area I booked my last few cruises on) 2 decks up is food- 2 decks down in entertainment. We get no noise from the elevator the elevators are in a room by themselves PS - if you booked the cabin you can ask for it to be changed. I remember our first kids back in 2000 and now here we are platinum. Make sure they go to the first meeting in the camps/clubs. Make sure they try new foods at dinner. We ordered something we never tried before and passed it around so we can all taste it- soups are fabulous

What do you think? is an inside cabin- when you come out of your cabin turn right and use the aft elevators to take you to the food/pools. Depending on your dining room-- if you have the aft dining room ONLY the aft elevators will get you there- If you have the mid ship dining room ONLY the midship elevators will get you there. You will not know until you are onboard.
caro1 Posted March 22, 2011 #2063 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Has anyone stayed in this cabin? It's located towards the front of the ship, I have read from people staying in a cabin close by that there was noise when the ship docked in the morning. Thanks.:)
caro1 Posted March 22, 2011 #2064 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Just posted a couple of hours ago, I had initially asked for cabin 7347 or in the vicinity, but it wasn't available. My TA checked again today and there it was, I think this is a better location but hey, tell me what you guys think. And if anyone stayed in this cabin, give me feedback, thanks.:)
CessnaGuy Posted March 22, 2011 #2065 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Greetings - my wife and I are taking our first cruise in October for our 10th anniversary. Splendor, Spa deck, room 1102. Any complaints about this room? We could conceivably be bumped, since it's a room for four, but I thought having a couch might be nice (I get in trouble a lot). Do you know if this balcony comes with extra perks--like the spa for free? check into that too Cloud 9 spa cabin. These cabins are also smoke free- no smoking on the balcony either. CessnaGuy Posted March 22, 2011 #2067 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Sorry, I should have clarified. It is a Cloud 9 Spa cabin, with spa amenities in the room, and priority booking in the spa. These things will make my wife very happy. Goal #1. I really just wanted to be as high up as possible, and as far forward as possible. So this room also makes me happy. Goal #87. I spend a lot of time in the air, so it will be fun to give water a try.

dimiegirl Posted March 22, 2011 #2069 Share Posted March 22, 2011 hello, just wondering if anyone has any info on this cabin. It is slightly aft of the bubble in the middle. It is a couple of cabins from the explorers lounge, thanks:)
windham depot Posted March 23, 2011 #2070 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Hi Serene56, This is a handicapped cabin forward of the ship. I was wondering if you knew anything about this cabin. It seems to be above the Theater but, their is a huge open white space below behind the stage. We did not know what this area was. We've always had HC cabins midship, Carnival seems to have them in the front. Any info anyone might have about forward motion would be great also. Thank you very much for the help. Rhonda I personally think it sucks that the HC cabins are so far away from elevators--nevermind the food or entertainment too. If you hit rough waters you are going to feel that motion no matter where you are. Being above the show lounge--you may get noise duing the show-BUT you will be at the show anyways right? windham depot Posted March 23, 2011 #2072 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Hi Serene56, YES!!!! We will absolutely be at the show. We were just curious what that white area on the Deck Plan is. We're not use to being Forward but, it's a cruise, how bad can it be? I do admit though it is making me a little nervous. What ever it is like we'll deal with it. Thank you for your input. I appreciate your knowledge and expertise. Rhonda
gwinel Posted March 23, 2011 #2073 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Does anyone know if I would be able to get an electric mobility cart thru the door of a cove balcony cabin on the Magic/Dream? Or if not, what I could do with it. I use a cart around the ship, not for short distances or around the cabin. I am fascinated with cove cabins! elizabeth

engrdad Posted March 23, 2011 #2075 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Just got this cabin assignment (C717) for a southbound Alaskan cruise this May. It seems like a good location (upgrade from AD to AB) from looking at the deck map. Anyone have any insight on this stateroom?
