CanCanCase Posted February 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2007 ...JUNEAU: MAY 27- COSTAL DOGSLED/ HELICOPTER WHAT TIME IS BEST?... I usually apply this advice to my Alaska Air flights out of Juneau, but it works well for heli-flightseeing too... book the earliest flight possible. If the weather is foggy, etc... you'll have more chances to re-book/re-schedule during the day... Other than that, you've got a good list of excursions picked out... have fun! -Case
Budget Queen Posted February 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2007 It is rare to have any left over space for glacier dog sledding. These tours are fully booked in advance. So chances of rebooking is not likely if your's is canceled. Also you won't be able to cancel on short notice either without substancial penalty. So verify what the cancelation policies are. Overall, Juneau is more canceled than Skagway, but that is just averages. Book where it fits your timeframe best, then hope for the best. :)
Chat Noir Posted February 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Are you using TourSaver while on your land tour? Cabin Nite is fun if there's a 2 for 1 coupon for the 2007 TourSaver. The $52 isn't bad for 2 people with the food and entertainment offered and we enjoyed it. However, I don't think I'd've felt it it was worth $52 each.
