hey there. what do you think are the best sites to see on st kitts, when starting from the pier? are there any great snorkeling spots near the cruise ship pier? we will be there from 730 to 3pm.

any info would be great.

There is a St. Kitts forum in the Ports of Call section, lower down on the Boards page. We just returned from a regal cruise and took a van tour around the island with Thenford Grey. There were a couple of dive boat tours from the ship but I would suggest checking the web page. Also Google St. Kitts for more info.

There is a train that circles the island that is supposed to be very interesting. I have heard many thinkgs about it, but have not been on it myself. We snorkeled in St. Kitts and took a cataraman along the Caribbean coast. The ride was nice and the snorkeling was better than average for the Caribbean.

Some of the best sites in St. Kitts are:

 

Basseterre (The Circus)

Brimstone Hill Fortress

Romney Manor

Ottley's and Rawlins Plantation

Drive down the southeast peninsula, visit South Friars then Cockleshell and Turtle Beach

 

There are no snorkeling spots near Port Zante. You have to go to South Frigate Bay, South Friars, Cockleshell or Turtle Beach.
