Galveston via Enterprise - No drop fee??

I booked a van from IAH to the Galveston port. The van is $60 and the agent said there would be an additional $60 drop-off fee. However, the drop-off fee is not included on my email confirmation. Has anyone else had this and been able to pick up their car without paying the drop-off fee? I think it is a ridiculous fee and will argue about it with them there based on my confirmation, but in the end, will I be successful. Thanks.

It is highly possible that you will not be charged the drop-off fee. I am in the process to book the other way around, i.e. pick up at Galveston and return to IAH. All cars were sold out both Enterprise and Hertz. If they need cars badly at Galveston, they would waive the drop off fee.

 

Usually, the drop off fee is $50-$60 each way that is not ridiculous. The taxi fare between IAH to Cruise is around $140 now.
