Traveler's Checks ??

I know I've read the answer to this question at some point in the past, but forgot the answer. Senior Moment # 5,000!

I always take traveler's checks when cruising, but have not had the occasion to cash any onboard. If I cash one in the casino for slot machine cash, does Princess charge a fee, like they do when getting cash that is charged to one's shipboard account?

You can cash travelers checks at the pursers desk for free. I dont think you can cash them at the casino cage.

 

So thats something I like to know.

Yep. You can cash them at the pursers desk and the casino. No service charge at either place. Many times it is quicker to cash them at the casino. Not as long a line.

Pick you time for the Purser's Desk and there often are no lines. I usually go in later evenings or early mornings. I will do this the day before I need the cash.

Will they exchange from Canadian travellers checks to $USD and is there a fee for that??

THAT i do know is accurate information. (and for free too) I dont have to be a princess cruiser to know that information-- it is in my information packet. (where was that inaccurate information??)

I just dont know if you can cash them at the casino.. (a reason why I subscribed to the thread.

 

ALthough Princess may be my first cruise on that line it is by far from my first cruise.
