Law and Order on the ship

Recommended Posts

The Captain, or master, of the ship has the ultimate responsibility. The Cruise line will have security personnel on board that report to the Captain. The Captain is responsible for the safety of the ship and all the Passengers and crew on board, but operates under rules established by the cruise line, international agreements including SOLAS (Safety of life at sea). Agreements such as notification of the FBI when a US citizen is involved in a crime at sea.

So the Captain has a lot of authority, but he answers to a number of entities.

Darn it . . . I clicked on this thread all excited 'cause I thought maybe they were filming my favorite TV show onboard! :D

I thought the question was going to ask if they had it on the ships TV's so the OP could watch it on the cruise.

Shows you what I know. :o
