The biggest and one of the best beaches on Maui is Ka'anapali Beach. It is very close to Lahaina, and you don't need a rental car. You can take the $1 one-way shuttle from the tender dock (The Wharf Cinema Center) to Whalers Village at Ka'anapali Beach.

There is excellent snorkelling on the north end of the beach at Black Rock (next to the Sheraton).

You can't rent a car at the pier. You can rent from one of the west side locations, which send shuttles to the pier.

Makena (Big Beach) is about 45 minutes to an hour from Lahaina, depending on traffic and so forth.

The weather on June 26 might be (and likely will be) great. However, it could also be cloudy or windy or rainy or any combination for a short time or for most of the day. I don't mean to make light of your question, but there's really no way to answer definitively how the weather will be that day. We've been in March and had clear weather and calm waters; we've been in June and had rain/showers and some winds on and off. We've also had the reverse! Probably, you will have excellent conditions for a nice beach day.
