Desert Chick Posted July 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2004 We are going on the Regal Princess from Montreal to New York for the New England/Canada cruise on October 11. The shore excursions are now online at the Princess website. Is anyone else going on that cruise?
hardheartedhannah Posted July 31, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2004 I Am Going On The Regal Princess Same Date And Have Already Reserved Our Excursions For The New England Portion Of The Cruise. They Sound Very Interesting. Only Hope We See Some Fall Foliage. Maybe In The Acadian Ntl Park.
Host Caroline Posted July 31, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Many of the ports, especially Quebec City, are immensely easy to do on your own.. Check the Canada Ports of Call board.. there is a good thread on Quebec and some of the other ports.. Halifax also has a lot to offer right along the waterfront harbor although many opt to tour Peggy's Cove-- depending on port call time you can do both. Quebec City is easily explored on foot or you can take carriage tour of the old walled city... walk up Dufferein Terrace to the Citadelle.. lots of old churches, museums, excellent restaurants. Any questions feel free to ask.. did this cruise on another ship last year and visit Quebec often.
Desert Chick Posted August 1, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted August 1, 2004 Thanks for the info Host Caroline. Do you know anything about Montreal? is it easy to get around from the cruise terminal?
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 1, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2004 :) There isn't anything handy to the pier in Montreal. You would have to take a tour or a taxi on your own. :)
Desert Chick Posted August 1, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted August 1, 2004 Looks like I'll have to take a taxi. Hope they aren't too much to town. Thanks Krazy Kruisers.
