cruiseveteran Posted March 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2007 Can anyone tell me how long of a walk it is from the ship, up the dock to where the taxi stand is located? Hubby can't walk to far so trying to get an idea of the distance? Or, another question, is there a tram or golf cart vehicle that runs up and down the dock, shuffling cruisers back and forth to the ship? Any information would be appreciated! Rail Traveler Posted March 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2007 The docking facility at Port Zante (Basseterre, St. Kitts) takes one ship on either side of a two-berth finger pier. Depending on where the gangway is set, usually midships, a visitor only has to walk about half a ship length to the end of the pier itself. Taxis are about 100 feet further from that point, at a staging location just through the archways of the Visitor Arrivals Hall building. There are no trams or golf carts available. I hope you enjoy your visit to St. Kitts. Rail Traveler
