Does anyone know how far a walk it is to find some trees for shade that are near the beach? Also, when do get get your tender tickets? Is it the day you arrive in port or can you get them from the shore excursion desk in advance? I am going on Carnival's Elation the begining of May and this is my first experience going to a private island. Are there picinic tables set up near the barbecue area or do most people tkae their food back to their lounge chairs? As you can see, any information you could give me would be very helpful.

Thanks Much,

You can get tender tickets in the theater or other designated public area the morning of the stop at HMC (there will be details in your daily schedule/Carnival Caper). Typically all memebers of your party need to be present to get a sticker. Then you just wait till they call your #. Please note those with morning excursions go first.

For lunch, it is served in a seperate building a few minutes walk from the beach. There is a shuttle (aka benches in the back of a truck) that will take you from the tender drop off to the lunch pavillion. There are tables near by under pavillions and folks eat there.

When we went, we took a glass bottom boat tour. It was a great tour. They even took use out into the ocean to see some reef areas.

PS - Don't expect any shopping in this stop. They will tell you there is a straw market but it's just a couple booths - nothing to get excited about.

The beach is beautiful and the water is super clear!

Enjoy!
