Ship time vs. Shore time

Recommended Posts

I am on the Serenade of the Seas through the Panama Canal departing Oct. 27 from San Diego. On Nov. 3 we are docking at Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Our ship is docked from 7AM - 7PM. I have heard that the ship keeps a different time than Costa Rica. Anyone know about this?

I know that Costa Rica does not have a "daylight saving time". I have arranged for a private tour on shore and I do want to make sure the guide picks us up at the appropriate time.

I have contacted RCI, but they stated that they had no clue. Help!

greetings

just back from cruise last month and I found that I did the right thing...I purchased a cheap watch (make sure its water proof) no more then $10 and put it on ship time...a lot happens when you get off the ship...its like you forget that the ship will sail with out you...we almost lost people in grand caymen (crew that had been allowed off the ship) and cozumel (cruisers)...always safer then sorry
