Does Princess do anything special for Honeymooners?

Hi,

 

I'm just wondering because we are going on the Diamond Princess on June 23rd for our honeymoon. Has anyone heard of princess doing anything special for Honeymooners? I've heard other Cruise lines have get togethers on the embarkment date.

Depending on how the CD arranges the program on board, there will probably some sort of newlywed get-together or maybe a Newlywed Game. It will be posted in the Princess Patter, the daily on-board program of activities delivered to your cabin.

 

Something that is also nice is to purchase one of the special occasion packages...some of them are pretty nice.

If you noted on the cruise personalizer that this is your honeymoon you will probably have balloons on your door. If not you can remind the pursers desk that you would like this. For a real special treat you can order on of the "occasions" packages that offer things like champagne, breakfast in bed etc.

As for actual seperate activities for honeymooners (with no extra charges involved), it kind of depends on if they have quite a few onboard. If not, then the balloons on your door and the newlyweb/no so newlywed game are about it.

If there are many couples, then we have seen special gatherings posted in the Princess Patter for the newlyweds onboard.

Sure they do ;) It's called a nice big bed and a lock on the door with a do not disturb sign....... :D
