Announcements and Sticky Messsages

Is there a way to get rid of the announcements and sticky messages once you read them rather than having them at the top of the forum all the time?

I know I am perhaps in the minority, how the heck does the "amazing race" rate a blue???? Comeon lets put an expiration date on these things.... color text.. ok got it..

Seriously, I can set any timeframe to remove those "stickies" and announcements. And guess what? I have already done so.

 

Just because some have seen and registered the information, doesn't mean everyone else has. There are over 106,000 members....and at any given time there are just as many lurkers on the board as there are members. Maybe they haven't been here since the new boards have come online, maybe they're INTERESTED in the Amazing Race....maybe I want the sticky to stay where I want it :)
