Recent C&A gifts on board?

Recommended Posts

We are very lowly Gold members:o . Just came back from our first RCL in February..LOVED IT. I am curious though, I see many people mantion the coupon books. What are the coupons for? Do they change as you move up the C&A ladder:rolleyes:

Welcome to Crown & Anchor, the best loyalty program at sea, IMO. On your next RCL cruise you will receive a coupon book on the first day that has many valuable coupons for use on the ship. There are casino match play coupons, buy one get one bar coupons, 10% off logo item, Ben & Jerry's & Johnny Rockets (If your ship has one), spa coupon. It's a very nice perk. They do change as you go up the C & A ladder, usually offering more of the same coupons, and maybe a few different ones. I think Platinum and higher offer free wine tastings on 7 day or longer sailings.

Enjoy!

On our last cruise, when we disembarked, a friend of mine was standing in line next to me and had his passport & airline tickets, etc. in a nice little mini portfolio thing. I noticed it and commented on how neat it was and he said he got it as a gift onboard on one of his earlier cruises. Not sure what exactly that little thing was called, but I would love to have one of those. Hope they bring them back around sometime soon!

I actually won a "portfolio" thing last week at our meet and mingle. I used it to put all of our receipt copies in.

I too have the fanny pack, over the door hanger. I love that one! and 2 bags one from Enchantment the other from Vision last year. Ihave some 22 cruise so we will see if they change it by Sept. On Disney I too cruise DCL much closer to home than Miami. You get a lanyard with 2 pins each at check in. In the cabin there was a tote bag, 2 pens, mesh bag for wet bathing suits, another mesh back pak, 2 plastic cups plus a water bottle holder when we got to our cabin for repeat passangers.

They give these out as prizes for several of the trivia challenges or evening game shows. You can usually chat with one of the Cruise Director staff and get one. Pretty sure they refer to them as "passport holders."

Thanks! I'll have to remember to either join in the trivia challenges or chat up the cruise director.:D Or I can hope that they give those away at our Meet & Mingle. At our past two Meet & Mingles, we had gotten those id holders that hang around your neck on Mariner and then the plastic "beach safe" (that also hangs around your neck) on Freedom.

So fed up with these that I sent one to the Captain as a gift!! Maybe someone somewhere will take the hint!!!

It is a freebie so you can politely decline. I assume you never want this captain to invite you to dinner.

Thanks for the warm welcome! That will be nice as we LOVE to gamble on trips that we don't have the kids on. Our kids love Johnny Rocket's too!

So funny - oh well, some you win, some you lose!!! I need to lose weight anyway.:D Hmm.... I've been thrown out of worse places, so being blacklisted for a dinner invite won't throw me one iota!! His loss anyway!!:p

I am afraid that a letter politely declining, would never reach him. Nor would he be much interested - hopefully, got better things to do with his time!! Probably this didn't reach him either!! There was a message enclosed actually, which I thought was quite funny!! Sorry, that's not for publication!!

Believe me, none of this is 'freebie'!!! We are paying for it!! I am a shareholder and the stock does well!!

It's just not too clever to give very frequent cruisers the same thing over and over!! Still, we usually give them away to people on the cruises for their photos. Which, unfortunately, don't fit the frames!!:p
