Do I need written consent from other parent?

My DH, DS, and I are going on the Victory in 3 weeks. My concern is that I read somewhere that you need written consent from the other parent to take a child on board. My DH is not the biological father of my son. I do have full custody (and have the court papers to prove it) of my child, but I do not have contact with his real father. Has anyone had any problems boarding the ship in these circumstances? I know there have been people that have took their children without the other parent and I am just curious as to if they asked for any documents or letters?

Take your papers granting custody- I have never been asked for papers for my kids.- But its better to be safe then sorry.

So true. The one time you may need them is when you do not have them with you.

With the court papers you will have no problem.
