NYC Terminal Parking vs Car Service

:) Sailing on the Carnival Miracle from NY on June 4th, 4PM. which is a Monday. Miracle the only ship in port that day. Live in New Jersey-can take car service $240 round trip including tip and tolls or can drive and park for $180. Would come through the Lincoln Tunnel so would be on the west side. How much of a mess to drive and park or is it worth spending the extra $60 and let a car service worry about the traffic? How safe is the parking? Thanks for any opinions on this.

The parking is absolutely safe...even your car will be checked for explosives since you park on the pier next to the ship. This really is a personal choice. The parking is very easy but then again is having someone else do the driving and your not having to deal with the car. Of course you have to deal with meeting them when they pick you up instead of just going getting you car coming down and getting your luggage and off you go to home...

I find the parking very easy and I have also taken car services...the personal car was easier...

Traffic after 10 shouldn't be too bad....and then you go the west side where itys not too bad until about 4 again...
