jgoody44 Posted March 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Is there internet access, wireless or otherwise, in the cabins of the Tahitian Princess or is wireless in the lobby and lounges all that is available? In addition, does anyone know what the cost would be for unlimited access during the duration of the cruise?
Pam in CA Posted March 21, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Is there internet access, wireless or otherwise, in the cabins of the Tahitian Princess or is wireless in the lobby and lounges all that is available? In addition, does anyone know what the cost would be for unlimited access during the duration of the cruise?I haven't been on the Tahitian Princess but all Princess ships have essentially the same Internet access: * No Internet or wireless in the cabins * Wireless is in the Atrium, perhaps nearby lounges * As of April 1, there will be no unlimited Internet access; you'll need to purchase a package of minutes. I forget what the minutes/package rates will be as of April 1; I'm sure someone will post them here.
paul929207 Posted March 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2007 There is also an internet cafe. The price was the same in the cafe or for wireless. Paul
TexEm Posted March 21, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2007 There is a small internet cafe, it was pretty expensive and seemed slow. When we were in port, I went to the local internet cafes--some of them had English keyboards, others didn't--the French keyboards are a little different, but I just told the people I was emailing to put up with my strange spelling and punctuation. They figured it out! In the Cook Islands, you needed to have New Zealand $$, but there was a bank nearby to exchange US$ if you didn't have NZ$$. When you're in Papeete, the closest internet cafe I found was as you were looking out from port midships there was a building with a big red sign on top, it was in there on the second floor in a glass encased kiosk. (Sorry I don't remember the name of the place). Well, good luck! Have a great trip.
