Thanks to these boards and you great people I have met some new friends(!) here that will be going on the Fascination March 30 with us.

Do any of you have any ideas on how and where we can actually meet each other? We all have teenagers the same age so the sooner they meet each other the better!

Thanks again for your help. :)

The pool bar is often a popular choice, but could be crowded. Usually on boarding day, the Promenade deck is relatively quiet until sail away, so it would be easier to spot each other. The Beverly Hills bar (towards the aft) is usually a good place with nice seats. It was the cigar bar when we were there, but is open enough that it shouldn't be too smoky, plus I don't think the bar itself opens until after departure, so shouldn't be crowded. There are also plenty of seats along the promenade as you proceed aft from the casino. Since some of the lounges are used as muster stations, it would probably be best to meet a while before muster drill or after sailaway (which I'm sure you'd prefer to see from an outside deck).

I always choose the seats along the promenade on this class of ship. Near the aft elevator. You can watch people coming up and it is right across from a little bar. We also met right after muster drill.

good call Morella!

There is a huge Camel outside the Passage to India bar, and it's very close to Stars Bar outside of the casino, lot's of seats in the area, great people watching - "meet me at the camel!" Enjoy the Fascination! We loved it. :)

Any time we've met anyone we've done it on the lido deck, completely aft.....pick a side, port or starboard. That way, anyone new to the ship or new to cruising won't get confused as to other decks and so on.

Also, we've had people tie the same color ribbon on their hand bags, carryons, or whatever they have with them, that way you can spot the group that you are looking for.

Hope this helps and happy cruising !!!

Hi :) ,

It's been a while since I've been on the boards but my daughter has enjoyed emailing yours. It appears they have set a time and place to meet. Looking forward to meeting you as well. I am praying for good weather during our flight out of Chicago on Friday. Can't wait.

There are 2 "secret" balcony areas aft behind the main cafeteria area (sorry, I forget what they call it on fascination). One is right behind the pizza station (the other is opposite it, behind the bar).

Since you have teens, why not meet on the aft balcony accessed right behind the pizza bar? Most people do not find it until several days into the trip, so the first afternoon it will be a great place to meet.
