Corfu - car rental locations

We want to rent a car while in Corfu in May but are confused about where the best location would be. I understand there are some rental place right at the pier - can anyone tell me which companies have offices at the pier? Would we do better to rent downtown so we could drop the car off in the afternoon and spend the rest of our shore excursion shopping and visiting the old fort? I have seen posts that some cruise lines offer shuttles into town but have not been able to determine if NCL does. Any advise on car rental would be appreciated including companies and locations.

Budget has an office near the port in Corfu. Happy travels.

We are using Corfu Sunrise. They are prompt to answer questions, need no money as a deposit, and said they will meet us as we get off the ship. I believe their office is opposite the custom's buildings.
