Luggage storage after cruise until flight

I found the Easy Fly info on the NCL site...I think it is in Q&A maybe??? I can't remember where I found it..but it also says that you can only use it if you disembark on a Monday and that is not the case as I read a post from someone that just used the Easy Fly last week and did it on a Saturday. I guess you need to sign up a couple of days in advance on the ship..I intend to do this the first day on as I don't want to forget to do it!!

I ended up calling NCL about EZ fly. I found the page on the web site thru google, not thru any links from the site. And it doesn't seem to be up to date. For example, it doesn't say that Continental is part of it, but it is, according to the people I called. I called twice just to make sure (a little paranoid?)

Here's the page I found: http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/cruiser/staticPages.html?pageId=easy_fly_bags

On the other side of the trip, what is the earliest that we can check our bags on the day we are leaving. We are getting in a day early and plan on going to Pearl Harbor early in the AM the day of our cruise. I'm not sure I like the idea of having our bags in the car all day with everything I have been reading about theft. Could we check our bags early Am say 7:30 and then head to Pearl Harbor?? Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I'd rather be safe than sorry!!

Thanks!!! This was great!!! I guess that it depends on what day your ship arrives--the Easy Fly instructions will say that you must be flyiing the day you disembark, that's why the day keeps changing!

I believe that you can use the luggage storage (if it's still available) for about $5 per bag. Then you'd claim them and check them when you check in for the ship. I don't see any possible way for you to actually check your bags at 7:30 am. All the focus on luggage is going to be unloading for the pax disembarking, not checking bags for the next cruise. In fact, the ship doesn't even arrive until 7:00 am. There will not be porters available to help you that early.

If you don't want to drag your luggage around all day, a much better suggestion is to arrange with your hotel for them to hold your luggage for the day. Almost all the hotels will do this for no charge. The issue of car break ins is a tricky one is a way. Yes, there are break ins, especially at some of the typical tourist stops. However, there are no more break ins than at any other popular tourist destination. One thing to consider besides anything to do with theft is that some things do not handle the tropical heat very well. Cosmetics, medications, and so forth might not take kindly to being in a hot trunk all day.

You could load up your rental car first thing, go up to PH, and then after that head to the pier to check your luggage (I don't know if you can check your bags without checking in). By that time, they should be pretty well finished off loading from the previous cruise and be checking in pax for your cruise. Then head off for the rest of the day until it's time to return your car and head to the ship.

Thanks Beachchick for the suggestions. I think we may just do as you said and keep our bags at the hotel and then pick them up when we are ready to check in. I didn't even think of the heat situation regarding cosmetics, etc.

Happy to help. It is easy to forget that tropical heat is not kind to sensitive items. I think arranging with your hotel for them to hold your luggage is probably your easiest solution. You will have to leave time to drive back to the hotel, pick up your bags, get to the pier, drop/check your bags, return the car, and then shuttle back to the pier for check in. Everyone is supposed to be checked in no later than 7 pm, so plan from there. Afternoon traffic in Honolulu and Waikiki can be fierce (primarily on weekdays).
