Cassandra,

There is no VIP self assist, just regular self assist.

Yes self assist is for early flights and those who want off early.

The VIP letter is the one you receive in your room.

Steve

Just of the Victory 3/25 and there was VIP self assist before regular self assist. The letter I received in my cabin was for VIP self assist to meet in the lobby at 7:00 and if you put your bags out the night before then to meet in the Atlantic Dining Room at 8:30. They were to call the VIP self assist, then regular self assist, then VIP who put bags out and early flights and then the color tags. We were in the lobby at 7:00 and I was the first off the ship at 7:20 and in our car and driving home by 7:45.

. I'm glad you didn't cancel your Glory cruise and hope you stay with Carnival. They will treat you well on the next not because of the Imagination cruise but that experience couldn't happen again.;)

Cassandra

I won't jump ship because the deal is just so good for a spring break cruise next year.:D

I am also a stockholder who does attend the annual meeting in person and I do care about profits.

*Note to self---pack more clothes so laundry will not have to be done daily while on cruise:rolleyes:

That was not it, it was in order so my wife did not have to do any laundry. She wanted to come home with clean clothes. So in order to try and put this fire out a little, I took all dirty clothes to the cleaners yesterday and am having them washed and folded just so she does not have to. She does not like cruises, but puts up with them so these extra VIP benefits were very Important and were a deciding factor (+ prices) in booking.

I brought the whole locked suitcase of dirty clothes to the cleaners and dumped it out right there and then.It was actually around 11.30 yesterday morning just 2 1/2 hours after getting off.

Please don't attack me here but I have to ask...wasn't it a bit extreme to have the steward contacted at midnight? .

Hi,letscruise

I did not contact him or wanted him contacted. The purser went and did it without telling me.I just wanted to drop the laundry off at the laundry or have someone get it.

Doesn't it pertain to Full Suite guests as well? What all is included?

If you book a cat 11 or 12 you get VIP also.

I must say that when we had vip last your out of Port Canaveral. All of the stuff was done in the vip room and they escorted us right up to the ship no lines at all. We are taking the glory in june and getting VIP again for booking a cat 12 .

That sounded great getting off the Victory so early. We are on the Victory 4/29 and will try the same.

Great you got a good deal!

We are stockholder's too and do you learn alot at annual meetings. We have never attending one. And do you get OBC on each cruise as a stockholder?

Yes you do get OBC for each cruise.I believe its 100 shares.I have a little more than that:D . But there is no increase for owning allot. I have found the meeting to be mostly fluff. There are several people you do meet and overall I find it boring but I own enough where I want to be there and hear things before the market opens the next day.:D

Steve I should have explained we are holders of more than 100 shares and use the OBC too, usually for 7 days but the 14 day cruise was even better, $200 OBC.

Oh and if that's your picture of loosing weight, Congradulations and keep it up.

Which June cruise? We are on the Glory June 9th- CAT 11. DId the Glory West 3 years ago..CAT 12, and you're right...you sit down at the desk in the VIP room..they issue all the SS Cards and escort you right to the front where there is a separate path for security + pictures and you're on!

thats about it for the Suite perks though...except for the SUITE of course.

I hope I wasn't spoiled by the CAT 12 balcony...is the CAT 11 balcony that much smaller? I spent a lot of time out there..we both did..;)

Have a good cruise.

I have a question to ask, my husband is platinum and when coming back on the ship from port, do you wait in the normal line or is there preference when embarking there?

Lois:)

Not coming back from the ports, But hey that is a great idea. I think they should have a line for us there too.:)

We are just off the Sensation out of Port Canaveral - May 27 sailing. We had a Cat 12 suite. Embarkation was a breeze with VIP line/room for S&S processing. BUT...no letter in cabin, no special luggage treatment, nothing special for getting off the ship. In fact, we waited for 2 hours outside our cabin before being called, folks were leaving before their tags called, long lines...what a supreme mess. It was the worst disembarkation we've ever experienced.

Just a short question. I am at VIP status now. 12 CCL Cruises.

I have already printed my fun pass. No where does it say VIP. How do they know when you go to check in if you are entitled to be in the VIP line.

I got off the Imagination today and I am really not happy with the VIP program. It started as soon as we arrived.

Check-in was nice in the VIP lounge and we were brought to the front of the xray line.We then were brought up to a waiting area with a few hundred people in rows of seats to get the S&S cards.I was made to wait until my row was called and then proceded to the S&S card area where I found a VIP line.I asked why I was told to wait despite my questioning it and was told they were wrong in doing that, that is why VIP is written on your boarding pass.

Our free daily wash and fold only ended up being done twice since the steward screwed that up. e would forget to take it in the evening and then would take it the following night:rolleyes: .When I tried to submit a load for that day, I was told that we already submitted a load for that day.Well, that was the day before load.

I also ended up being charged for the 2 loads.

Getting off was also a joke,we were given written instructions to wait in the library and as soon as the ship was cleared we would be escorted off.Well,I saw many people getting off and after inquiring and losing my temper at the pursers, they called a social host to escort us.

Well he escorted us 10 feet and told us to wait in the line which was 200 people deep across two decks. If they did not forget us,we would have been first. When we recovered our bags, thanks to them the customs lines were huge and we waited forever again.

There were several other VIP things they screwed up which I will post later including goofing the petite fours, galley tour (didn't happen)Concierge line(not real) and even the Concerge host(their isn't one).I am very poed at this point and I am deciding what to do about it.

Steve

Steve,

Did you want your laundry done daily? Do you do that at home? I doubt it.

We've sailed three times since Platinum and loved all the perks. Look forward to many more. You can't please some of the people in this world. Hope you will be happy on your 'other cruise lines'.

Luv's Crusin' :D

I just got off the Imagination on May 21, and had a great experience with my VIP perks. I can't wait until September when we're on the Liberty. Sorry you had a bad experience.

That is correct, there is no VIP debarkation for suite passangers.

Well, just so you know, we told them that this VIP didn't like to TIP, and you see what the results were.

We didn't really expect it. But even without it the whole scenario getting off the ship was a mess. We got chased out of the suite at 8am, forced to leave the buffet table immediately after eating at 8:45am (so others could eat, I guess), got chased off the Lido deck at 9:30am, then run out of the lobby area around the lounge for no good reason at all.

We really liked our cruise and would certainly go again....it was a bargain. Just reporting that debarkation on this one was a loser, VIP or not.

Make sure you have 12 cruises listed in your history online. If the are listed there. The VIP doesn't show on the fun pass. If you have made final payment, you can see your e-docs on line. Your luggage tag page has VIP on the tag.

Hope this helps. If more info is needed please ask on a new thread so we can find you and this one can go back to the back pages were it belongs.;)
