Izmir beach option

Hi,

We have already seen Ephesus ruins and were looking into other options for Izmir. We found its relatively close to a nice stretch of beach on the Cesme penninsula, specifically Ilica beach. There is a big Sheraton hotel there and the area looks really beautiful with clear blue water, white sand beaches and hot springs. Chairs and umbrellas are set up along the beach. Also some nice spas that use this thermal water.

 

Has anyone else done this or been there? I'm wondering if its easy enough to get a taxi to drive out there (must be about a 20min drive) and what the cost might be? :confused:
