yellowbird23 Posted April 14, 2007 #179 Share Posted April 14, 2007 Thanks so much Radio! What a wonderful report. As for the scooter in St. Thomas, did you feel safe riding one? I have always wanted to do something like that. I travel alone usually and I feel that is the best way to get where I want to go within reason. Are they rented on the half day, hour, ?? What is approximate cost? Thanks so much and enjoy the rest of your trip. I have been to Nassau several times by land and sea and it has its own character, doesn't it? JACJAM Posted April 14, 2007 #180 Share Posted April 14, 2007 Radio, thanks for all the hard work/play!! Question: what cabin cat are you in and cabin #? I'm book in a cabin on deck 7 with a over hang in the front of the ship. Your bridge shows these cabins. Do those cabins have lounge chairs? Thanks, J

1010Transistor Posted April 14, 2007 #186 Share Posted April 14, 2007 Awesome pics dad. You know that pic of all of the balconies that you took from way out on the side, I'm glad no one was sunning in their birthday suit! Nice to see you're taking some deserved time off & doing what you love to do: riding scooters all over the caribbean & becoming famous on the internet! Can't wait to see your next video! Give me a call when you get to the mainland. We'll all meet up for dinner. Hey can you go out to the very bow of the ship & get a pic for me? Rare Radio Posted April 15, 2007 Author #187 Share Posted April 15, 2007 Hello everyone! Today was a very relaxing day in Nassau. I started my day by walking around many of the shops. I walked a few blocks up to the Royal Colonial Hilton. It was very nice up there. They offer a day pass for Cruise Passengers for $15.PP. That will allow the use of towels, chairs, the pool, beach and restrooms. I got a late start, so I just hung out there and took a few photos. I considered going up to Cable Beach, but my sunburn decided for me not to head up there. I started walking back to the ship, when I found an Oasis!! There was a Starbucks, just a few blocks from the pier. I shouldn’t drink much coffee, but I love a cup of Starbucks Coffee…… I headed back to the ship at around 3. I was talking to the Security Guard at the Sovereign, and I was surprised to find out that the Sovereign, doesn’t leave until 1AM. . . . and they arrived in Nassau before Jewel of the Seas. There farewell show was held tonight, and was very good. They will also be having the Battle of the Sexes Game Show, late tonight…but I think I will be out by then. We left Nassau today by 6PM, and we should arrive in Port Everglades by 6:30 tomorrow, and by tied at the dock by 7AM. With us in Fort Lauderdale tomorrow will be: CARIBBEAN PRINCESS COSTA MAGICA COSTA MEDITERRANIA I am not in a hurry to leave the ship, because I will be staying near Disney on Sunday night, and catch the Auto Train on Monday. I will try to take as many Cabin Photos as allowed tomorrow morning. I will try to post some arrival pics before debarkation. Thanks for all of the nice comments. Here are some pics of my visit to Nassau. Thanks for tuning in!! Radio Sovereign was waiting for us in Nassau Costa Mediterrania fullowed us in. . . luvalot Posted April 15, 2007 #191 Share Posted April 15, 2007 What great pics! Just out of curiosity, why do all the pools/pool deck seem empty whenever you take a picture? I sure hope it is like that when we go!
toothy26 Posted April 15, 2007 #192 Share Posted April 15, 2007 Dear Radio, AWESOME PICS AND REVIEW!!! I just booked my cruise on the jewel for next March!! Can't wait. We just got off the Serenade last week. Does the Windjammer on the Jewel have the outdoor open seating in the back like the Serenade did? That was my favorite place for breakfast. Yes, the Jewel has the outdoor open seating too. It was a favorite place for us as well. Funny, it was really never crowded out there - I don't know if people didn't know it was there???? We'll be on Serenade enjoying that spot in 3 weeks!!!

kevincruiser Posted April 15, 2007 #195 Share Posted April 15, 2007 Hi Radio, Thanks so much for your daily reports and pics! They are fabulous as usual! A while back you had written that you are going on a Canada/New England cruise on Grandeur this summer. Which cruise will you be on? Reason I ask is because I will be on the 7/27/07 Grandeur to Canada/New England. It would be great to meet the famous Radio in person! Also if you have any pics of the aft JS cabins on deck 8, that would be great as I'll be in 8586. Have a safe trip home!
johndru Posted April 15, 2007 #196 Share Posted April 15, 2007 Thanks, Mark, for the great pictures, and the great reviews, as always. I introduced my boss and her husband to CruiseCritic, and she was excited to see the pictures of her future cruise "home". As you disembark today, they'll be getting on the ship, and will spend their first seven days at sea. I'm hoping that they have a laptop with them so that they can see your final pictures before getting on the ship. Oh well, I'm sure they'll be living it "live and in person" very shortly! Thanks for the great "Live" posts. Can't wait for the next one! Dru
