misery1001 Posted April 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2007 This news sounds scary. Is it true? http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/consumers/cruise-crime.html
Lightsluvr Posted April 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2007 You have a better chance of being hit by lightning twice than to suffer some of the events such as described in the attached article. (This is really old news.) Just exercise common sense and you should have no problems cruising. That means you don't go off alone with strange men, you don't drink until you pass out, and you don't recreate scenes from the Titanic on your balcony. Also, don't listen to people who make their livings from suing cruise lines. LL
Pumbaamd Posted April 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2007 We've seen far more crime and incidences in our neighborhood at home than we've seen on our 15 cruises. Actually, have never had/seen an onboard incidence. The press likes to play up any incidence, whether on land or (especially) at sea.
